Houzz Launches ‘The Pro Perspective’ Podcast
Monthly interviews with home building, remodeling & design thought leaders aim to share critical industry knowledge.
Contractors and design pros have an outstanding new tool at their disposal: “The Pro Perspective,” a Houzz Pro podcast launched in July 2024. In each monthly episode, thought leaders and experts in residential construction and design will share their unique stories and methods for success.
Hosted by industry veteran Liza Hausman, vice president of industry marketing at Houzz, the show looks to provide the construction and design community with a variety of inspiration and real-word examples of what success can look like.
“Building a better business often starts with a fresh perspective,” says Hausman. “That's why we're bringing together thought leaders in our industry and community to share their unique experience and approach on a wide range of topics.”
The audio version of the podcast will be available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify for Podcasters, and a video version will be available on YouTube. The podcast joins a range of valuable offerings for designers and builders from Houzz Pro, including free webinars, research findings, business best practices, online courses, and E-Books.
Sneak Peek of Episode 1: ‘When Passion Meets Process’ With Melissa Kennedy
Melissa Kennedy is president of the award-winning residential contracting firm Meadowlark Design + Build in Ann Arbor, Michigan, celebrating its 20th year in business and earning about $13 million to $15 million in revenues annually. Among Kennedy’s many projects, she helped actress Kristen Bell with a surprise basement renovation for Bell’s sister, featured on Houzz TV.
In premiere episode of “The Pro Perspective,” Kennedy discusses how to keep the creative spark going while implementing and maintaining the repeatable processes needed to deliver consistently, combining “the energy of an amateur with the wisdom of a pro,” as she puts it. The story of her personal challenges and successes, as well as those of her firm, and how her vision drives both, is one you won’t want to miss.
