From Chaos to Confidence: How TNT Top Notch Tile Elevated Quality and Trust with Houzz Pro

After more than 20 years in business, Carlos Navarro and his father had built a strong reputation for craftsmanship — but running their high-volume tile & renovation business TNT Top Notch Tile involved constant chaos.

Scheduling, estimating, and communication were scattered across paper notes, text messages, and phone calls.

“We were all over the place,” Carlos recalls. “Jobs were running, bids were going out, but nothing was connected.”

Despite completing 300 bath renovations each year, the lack of structure and process made scaling difficult. Carlos knew he needed a system to stay organized and deliver flawlessly on all projects.

In the field, his crews rely on the Houzz Pro mobile app to manage Daily Logs, Tasks, and Schedules — tracking assignments and uploading photos instantly.

“Once we update the Schedule, subs get a notification right away on their phone and can see exactly what they’re working on that day. We can view progress photos seconds after they’re uploaded,” Carlos explains.

Carlos specifies and tracks every detail in Houzz Pro, keeping the homeowner informed and the team organized, on schedule, and in sync.

“TNT was the highest bidder, but I chose Carlos because I wanted someone who could deliver on time, communicate constantly, and get it right. My goal is quality, not the lowest cost,” says the homeowner, Rama Bokka.

Houzz Pro’s digital takeoffs replaced printing and manual measuring. “Before, we’d have to go to Office Depot, print out plans, measure everything by hand. Building estimates just took a lot of time,” Carlos said. “Houzz Pro cut that time down by about 90%.”

Carlos keeps cash flow on track by requiring clients to use online payments instead of checks, which gets him paid in one day instead of five.
