My client wanted her house to feel "welcoming, young-spirited, colourful, happy, feminine and fun, with pops of fuchsia and velvet." In addition, the design was to incorporate her new rug (a coup de coeur purchase), her grandparents' dining table and chairs, some of her favourite pieces of furniture and her sister's paintings.

When she later replied, "Sure!" to my suggestion of painting the built-ins on the far wall fuchsia to match the new custom love seats, I knew I could take the design all the way.

(I've said it before, but can't stay it enough, never underestimate the power of paint!)
