No just the wood. I don't know what to paint it. Not a lot in the front but the back has a lot of wood less stone. Stone staying as is.

Thank god. I thought you were another on here that got an intelligent idea. (im being sarcastic lol) Paint the wood dark or light to give it contrast and show off the stone. The tan is making it blend. The stone seems pretty light so Maybe a dark brown. maybe leave the window trim tan to highlight them.

Landscaping with lots of greenery would go a long way to giving this lovely place more life. Need plants of different height and texture, plus some color. If you are going to paint the wood I would chose a color contained within your stone to have the paint give the stone pop.

Yeah, maybe some plants on the outer part of the driveway. (bottom right of picture)

The prevailing wisdom is to choose a color from one of the stones. I made images with a warm neutral and a gray.

In either case I would paint the fascia white.

I see a gold shade so I gave it a try....

I don't think it works with the color of the roof.

I would go a bit deeper, darker, like a burnt sienna or a cedar color. Greenery will help the most though.

I would just go a slightly deeper shade than you have currently. Or do nothing at all. It looks great as is.

Your roof color is equally as bossy as the stone. I would look at your grout color.

Can you add some closer photos of the stone to your next comment? The dark around the windows, is that paint or metal flashing and what color is it?

I agree with Green Designs.....preferably nothing! Your home is gorgeous......just get some great landscaping!

Landscaping ( or lack of it.!) is the only thing I see that needs addressing.

Do a monochromatic scheme. I would match the color of the window frames. Kill any gold tones.

I really like the gray that emmarene did in the mock up. It makes the roof blend away and it makes the stone stand out.

I would leave the stone and paint the wood to gain contrast

Landscape and...dress that front patio up

It is a beautiful house. I vote for landscaping and a front door color.

Since the post is 7 years old, I'll bet all the decisions have been made.

Yes but I loved your idea, Beverly, for a monochromatic look. Contrasting color would make it choppier than it already is, your rendition looked soothing.

Ah Beverly, we had high hopes they would show us what they did. 😂
