Paint Furniture Before & After

My husband built a china hutch and we're wanting to paint it. Is it important to match the paint color to our china, so they compliment each other? This is a well made piece so we're wanting a color that is timeless and not necessarily in style. Any suggestions on paint colors? Should we stick with a neutral color?

I know that this was posated 3 years ago - but curious to see what you've chosen! I think that it all depends on your personal preference, and what sort of decor you're using in your home. One of our colleagues recently just redid a china cabinet and used Tricorn Black and it looks beautiful!
