We have a room, 7' x 17' which is used as an office most of the time. There are two windows along one long wall with radiators beneath them. They're separated by section of wall that projects slightly forward next to one window. There is a bifold door to a closet that houses our central heating boiler at the far end of the room from the entrance.

Following the construction of a 2 storey extension, there is a very limited budget to redecorate and furnish the office. To further complicate things, the office must, in future, accommodate an occassional overnight guest, so a chair bed or folding cot needs to be included.

There is a myriad of books and files to store and the desk is always in use. We only have a PC with monitor and separate tower (no laptop), currently on a tall computer table (ugly).
