Sorry but I find those rugs BORING I think you need some color in the rug and as for the table I do not love all matching tables in a space .I agree the tables you have do not work with the one between the chairs but a look at the whole room helps . Sp post a pic of that whole LR post here in a comment DO NOT start another post. How about something like this for the coffee table and maybe round wood for the end tables I like this to bring the wood from the DR and the oval shape .

Oval would be a good shape for the coffee table. That was also my first thought when I saw the space, and I like the one Patricia posted.

I'd do some kind of nesting tables, use it when you need it, for a small space.

you could do kind of a cream/and blush faded area rug for a hint of texture and color... looks like yout dining room painting has some pinks in it.
