With the "white" quartzites you run the risk of it being marble or dolomite. I would assume that you have your customers do the Geology tests before buying a slab?

@cpartist has a really pretty quartzite that she's had no issues with and she's had it for several years.. You can search for her kitchen threads.

One of my favorites is Costa Esmeralda granite. It's definitely green-ish, but if you can find it, it's a great look and certainly not everywhere.

Not sure how readily available they are in any locale, but they range from very white to black, and lots in between. AND you'd need to test them to make sure they are quartzite and not marble or limestone.

I think Cpartist‘s was called Facination Quartzite. They are stunning! It is one of my favorite kitchens.

So many beautiful real stones why get stuck on quartzite at all. Granites come in a fabulous array of colors all IMO beautiful in spaces . I have used blue Bahia a couple of times and my clients still love it more than 18 yrs later for one of them.

Quartzite is REAL stone, Patricia. It's quartz that is the engineered product.

I was just viewing some of their quartzite slabs and here are a few that look gorgeous: Fusion, Cream River, Infinity White, Majestic, Mont Blanc, Naica, Acquaviva, Meridian, White Macaubus.

I am a huge fan of granite - I love the busier patterns. I find that some of my customers these days just follow the crowds. I keep hearing " well everyone is doing quartzite" . I just want to prepare them for what they need to do so they are getting correct information and are happy with their selections.
