Way high maintenance on polished nickel even in Kansas. Get chrome; quality, Moen, Delta, Brizo. etc. for baths.

Get a SS kitchen faucet.

It's a hand wring over nothing. I've plenty of clients on Florida east coast.....nothing chrome is rusted, pitted....anything.

The windows get washed a lot : )

Polished chrome is best--it will last forever and not change at all. No rusting, mottling, pitting.

My favorite bath faucets are from Kohler, Sigma, and California faucets. Great style and quality.
