Having trouble coming up with stone choice, size/scale and mantel choice for my fireplace. It is a great room concept that is 20 feet by 27 feet. The fireplace is between two windows and the space between the windows is just over seven feet. The ceiling height goes from 8 feet up to 16 feet. Outside are wooded areas that I love. I am working with the familiar Greek Villa(Sherwin Williams) for cabinets (shaker style) and trim, some cabinets in serious gray(sw), Anew Gray(sw) on the walls, and medium brown, wired brushed oak floor all with a transitional style. I am not fond of stacked stone as I like mortar around the stones. Considering a custom mantel in Greek Villa, with stone below and some type of wood above or all stone from floor to ceiling. Some of you may moan but I have decided to put a tv above the mantel. Any suggestions and/or pictures would be greatly appreciated.
