Can anyone help me figure out how to get my folding leaf table to lay flat when it folds out? It is square when the leaves are folded on top of each other, but when unfolded, it doubles in length with soss hinges and the whole thing slides down so that the "crease" is in the middle. The problem is that the leaves are kind of heavy and want to hang down on either end, pushing the hinged middle up into a tent-like portrusion.

It's a hand-me-down from my husband's grands who don't remember ever unfolding it. To make matters worse, we just bought special hinges because it came to us without them.

Any ideas how to remedy this problem?
