# Download Your Data

You can download a copy of your Houzz data from your **Edit Profile & Settings** page. To request a copy of your data:

1. Select the **Edit Profile & Settings** link from “Your Houzz” on the top right corner of the homepage to be directed to your Settings preferences.
1. Click on the **Privacy Settings** at the left of the page.
1. Click on **Download a Copy of Your Data** down the page. You’ll be redirected to the **Download Your Data** pop-up box that says that within 7 days, you'll receive an email with a link. You can use this link to download certain categories of data we have for you; including your profile information, messages, and ideabooks.
1. Click on **Submit Request**.
1. Click **OK** to confirm that an email will be sent to you with your data.

**Important:**

If you close your account, you'll no longer have access to your Houzz account data from our site. For more information and inquiries, please email [privacy@houzz.com](mailto:privacy@houzz.com)

**Notes:**

1. If you've received these emails but didn't initiate the request, be sure to **change your password**.
